History

The enterprise MEZSERVIS was established in the year 1993. In its present function it continues in the long lasting tradition in the electro engineering production in Vsetín. The original company was founded in the year 1919 by Mr. Josef Sousedík, the author of many significant patents in the sphere of electromotors. In 1938 the enterprise SOUSEDIK became part of the company Ringhofer TATRA.

After the year 1948 a new company MEZ was founded, in which the factories Vsetín, Mohelnice, Frenštát, Brno, Drásov, Nedvědice were incorporated. These factories were later incorporated to one of the greatest world companies in electro engineering, to the company ZSE Praha. The company had more than 120 000 employees.

In the mentioned years the enterprise MEZ VSETÍN produced mainly electromotors, dynamometers, and since 1960s they designed and produced complete electric drives, firstly in the W-L system, later they produced thyristor-converters. Their main customers were Czech engineering factories and later their products were exported to many countries of the world. The company employed over 2500 employees.

But it is already the past, after the year 1989 the company ZSE disintegrated, the Moravian factories were partly taken over by Siemens enterprise, others operate independently. From MEZ Vsetín arose several enterprises and one of them is also the enterprise MEZSERVIS Vsetín, which focused on the sphere of electrical drives. A significant innovation of the instrument base was carried out with the transition to distinguished European and world producers. The enterprise is an official partner of the SIEMENS enterprise.

During all their history the basic fundaments of the enterprise have been the requirements of high quality and reliability.
